Winter is rapidly slipping away and as Easter approaches we can enjoy longer days and the prospect of warmer and dryer weather. Torquay is the perfect location to enjoy the first proper Bank Holiday of the Year. There is a fanstastic range of attractions and together with the other English Riviera towns of Paignton and Brixham, there is truly something for everyone wanting to come to south Devon this April.
Amongst the Easter highlights this year are a selection of Easter Egg Hunts including those at The Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones in st Marychurch and the National Trust property of Coleton Fishacre. Dinosaur World on Torquay harbourside is also offering an Easter Egg hunt. For adults there is a Gin Festival at The Riviera International Centre in Torquay (on 14th and 15th April) and horse racing at Newton Abbot on 15th April. For art lovers there is the 50th annual exhibition and sale of artwork form the Torbay Guild of Artists - this runs from 12th April to 23rd April at the Spanish Barn (next to Torre Abbey). On 15th April it will be possible to see behind the scenes at The paignton Picture House which is one of the World's Oldest purpose built cinemas.
